Mask is a conceptual proposal for an architectural-scale installation doubling as museum extension. The proposal grafts onto the façade of an existing modernist art museum and fills a narrow slot between the museum and a nearby nineteenth-century building. The proposal cloaks the entire eastern elevation of the minimalist museum in a heavily figural architectural language, creating the impression of a mask or prosthetic addition being applied to the existing building.

Site diagrams were used to determine the scale and location of the proposed intervention with respect to the existing urban fabric, including two prominent museums.
