Twisted Torus is a set of multimedia sculptural studies focusing on the topological qualities of the torus. Two working torus typologies are developed: a “contorted typology,” obtained by controlled rotations of the torus' surface, and a “figural typology,” obtained by adding intricacy to the torus' profile geometry. The two typologies are combined in the final iteration, with the contorted form acting as a container for its figural counterpart. A sectional model is created to reveal the spatial relationship between interior and exterior.
